Carpathian
Carpathian garlic originates out of the Carpathian Mountains of Poland and is part of the Rocambole group of garlic varieties. For many, Rocambole garlic varieties are considered the finest, “top shelf” of all the hardneck garlic varieties. Carpathian is no exception and gained heightened attention when it was chosen by Cook’s Illustrated magazine as one of their favorite garlic varieties. Carpathian is excellent tasting, its flavor’s rich, strong, and sweet.
Bulbs typically contain 8-10 large, easy to peel cloves with very few double cloves. Higher disease resistance compared to other Rocamboles. Carpathian garlic was tested and brought legally into the Idaho quarantine area by Sundries Farm in 2022 — inventory very limited - Order early
